This SS16, KTZ decided to host their show once again at the space they previously presented their menswear collection, the club XXL just off Southwark. “TWTC: The World To Come” flashed in yellow on LED screens as you walked into the venue, giving a hint of what you could expect – a futuristic version of the present days as seen back in the 80s. Attendees were seated behind red barred fencing with exposed power supplies attached, where models would catwalk through, together with KTZ’s logo as a background, comprised the perfect setting to present this SS16 collection.
Under the motto “everything is possible”, KTZ took inspiration from a wide range of sources. Ranging from the 80s singer Siouxsie Sioux and her characteristic looks, going through the African Mursi tribe’s vision and own conception of feminine beauty, to the landmark movie Blade Runner. This way KTZ delivers a women’s collection that knows its past, anticipates the future, but is firmly grounded in the present.
KTZ women’s determination, sensuality and imaginations is delivered with the use of dynamic prints and dark sensual lines, together with KTZ’s characteristic use of black leather and bondage-like silhouettes, and combined with elements constructed with everyday materials, as seen before in the menswear collection.
The collection will be available next SS16 in several worldwide stockists and through their official online store which you can find here.
